Wish us luck!!

Well... the Bad Puppies are headed to the playoffs this weekend. We play the Raptors @ 10:50am and then depending if we win or lose, determines how long we have to wait for our next game.

We could play only 2 games or up to 4... i'm hoping for two wins, but we'll see how it goes!

Wish Us Luck!!

(Aaron and Mighty: you can wish us luck too because we don't play you!)

Dreaming...

Jimbo posted  something today and I wanted to list out what I'm dreaming about...

Here we go:

  • My next 'home.' I'd sure like it to be my own. I tired of renting and then someone pulling the rug out from underneath my feet. It may be far off, but I'd sure like to stop moving...
  • My next job. I hope that it's challenging, fun (for the most part) and the people I work with are cool. Would REALLY love to test video games. Anyone got any connections into that bidness? :-)
  • I've been dreaming of a cabin for my folks. They've had a BEAUTIFUL pair of lake lots near Garrison, MN for about 15 years. They haven't been able to develop it because money has been tight. Mom and I have talked about it and I have the perfect image in my head. I can't wait to have someone draw it up!
  • X-men 3... I've been dreaming that they need to put Gambit in. I'd play him, of course AND I'd get to beat people with a stick (not to mention having my own action figure!!). :-)
  • Walking the pups around the lake... I love it! Side effect: I get exercise AND look at the cute boys!

Fuckhead

OK... so the guy I referenced in this post that 'scoffed' at me: He's a fuckhead.

I told him 2 days ago that I just wasn't interested in seriously dating anybody yet. Last night he starts talking shit about me not being ready for a relationship, and how he loved being single and how much he loved his big, ritzy house... He also said, 'I know I'm not your type.' It think that's funny... I have one type of guy: Cute and funny.

Freak...

Umm... hello? We just met at the coffee shop for conversation. Just because you have money doesn't mean you have everything in your life figured out nor does it mean you're an expert on MY life. Hell, I'M a NOVICE on my life!!

I'm glad you do well for yourself, but keep the drama in your world not mine. THANKS!

Props to the Pups!

On Sunday, we played softball at the Bryn Mawr fields. It was late in the day and I was having a weird day... kinda lazy, kinda hazy... Just didn't have my heart into playing that day.

Got to the fields around 3pm. Some of the Bad Puppies had already arrived and most were on their way. I was just hoping to get 9 so we could still play our games. I lucked out and got 11. WOOT!

I was most worried about Dennis (who BETTER play next year). He's our 'full-time' pitcher and with good reason. He's INCREDIBLE and with the second choice for pitcher being me... ummm... Yeah... Don't need to go there!! I hadn't heard from him in the week, so I was crossing my fingers that he was planning on coming. Working in the restaurant business, things come up and I just hoped that it wouldn't happen today.

We were scheduled to play the Raptors and the Biohazard. The Raptors are a team that's been in the league for a couple of years and has some fairly good players on it. They tend to be on the cocky side and since they won our last encounter... We had a score to settle.

Also, one of their players (Alex) and I have this little competition thing going on. Not sure how or why it developed, but it's there... He was SO proud of their win and assumed they'd have the same chance against us this past Sunday. (I also found out that he was CONFIDENT they'd beat us)

The game started out as usual: me deferring the coin toss and winning the home field. I seem to be able to defer my shitty luck onto other people for a split second. Maybe I should become a super hero, UNLUCKY-MAN!!

Anyway... I was at shortstop, moved Mickee to 2nd and played Tim at 3rd. The outfield was solid, so I wasn't TOO worried and we also had Dennis tossing some FIRE across the plate. We help them well each inning... Letting only 2 or 3 in each time. Then we kinda let it slip... One inning put us behind. I was getting frustrated (because I couldn't get my glove on the ball to save my life) and had an outfielder bad-mouthing me because of it...

SMACK! Grounder nailed right too me. I stop it, snap it over to Mickee (a little higher than usual so hard to catch)  and he can't catch it... it falls to his feet.

Now, being the trooper he is, he sticks with it and scrambles to get the ball... CRACK!! The runner from first makes it to second and accidentally knees Mickee in the head!!

Down he goes, flat onto his back... He was silly for a while, but started to worry me when he was twitching... Luckily James form the other team is an EMT (or something like that) and rushed right over. He was just trying to get Mickee to calm down at first, but I don't think Mickee could control his body... It was in panic mode...

After about what seemed like 10 minutes, we got him up and off to the sidelines to rest in the shade. Poor guy was so scared. He mentioned that he knew he was ok, but it was scary not to be able to control your body of a little bit... YIKES! That'd be tough!

So... Now we're out for blood! Bad Puppies just became SCRAPPY!!

Bottom of the 5th... We tied it up! Since we have an hour time limit on our games, we had to do the tie breaker rules. Last at bat starts on second base and there are no outs. Somehow, they get 2 in... Not sure how, but they did it...

Bottom of the 6th... Bad Puppies turn. Same rules: Last at bat starts on 2nd; Tim is on 2nd. Carlos steps up to the plate and smacks the ball. Shortstop fumble and Carlos is safe at 1st. Corneilus is up to bat. Somehow gets out. Trixie (our lead-off) steps up and SMACKS the ball over the right-center fielder's melon!!

WOOT!!

The second games was a slaughter, so I won't detail that one out of respect for the Biohazard. I hit two homeruns and one Grandslam... I think 2 of those were in the same inning...

Anyway! WAY TO GO PUPPIES!!

OH MY FUCKING GOD!

Can someone please do me a favor?

SHOOT ME!

My landlord is selling the house I'm living in and I need to be out by the end of August. I have NO idea how I'm going to find a place on such short notice, especially if I want Yuna and Akima to live with me.

FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK!!

Dating-schmating

I'm done...

I'm going to resolve myself to that fact that I will be single for some time. Well, at least until I become independantly wealthy. Then the men will be FALLING over me.

I guess I'm just frustrated that a 'date' must include spending money. Why can't a guy just agree to take a walk around the lake as a date? It that so wrong? What about a picnic in the park? Window-shopping at a mall or around some cool shops at 50th and France?

I've also had some encounters with the wealthier segment of the gay community. Most are fairly grounded, but it seems that they don't understand why I cannot afford a weekend trip to Montreal, Toronto, San Fran or D.C.. *sigh*

I've been chatting with a man who does well for himself, but also has made comments about not being able to deal with someone who has to live paycheck to paycheck. This is also one of the guys who speak about spending money on every date. I asked him about a 'free' date or at least a 'budget' date and he kinda scoffed at me... WTF?

I also have some hang-ups on money... I went out with a successful real-estate agent who had a closing that morning where he made $36,000 in comission. I hate to say it, but that's almost what I make in a year. I was VERY intimidated. Still am.

It this stupid? Am I just being a dork and I need to suck it up and deal? Why is money so important?

Eye-candy

OK... So one thing I will miss about my Thursday nights at Target is the eye-candy.

Last night one of the most beautiful men came to the Electronics counter and was in search of a Mini-iPod. We have them in on occasion, but Last night we were out and I tried like a mutha-fuckah to find one at another store for this hunk.

He had dark hair and eyes, a goatee, was about 6' tall, built well, had jeans and birks on (I like that look) and a killer smile. We chatted while I looked in the computer for an I-Pod and I just wanted to ask if he was gay... I mean... I DO work at Targay, not far from 'Swish-and-Disco' (Bally's in SLP). He didn't have a wedding band or anything... hmmmm....

Anyway, I hope he shows up in one of my dreams that I get to remember... YUMM!

(while running spell-check, It's suggestion for 'Targay' was 'trashy'... I think it's a sign!)

Loser...

So... Anyone know anyone who knows someone who reviews resumes? I SERIOUSLY need some work on mine because I haven't had a response back from any of the positions I applied for.

I need someone with some magic... If they could review my cover letter too, that'd be great...

Kick-ass Sunset

Did anyone else get to witness the masterpiece light-show? It was SO incredibly beautiful. I'm kicking myself for not having my camera.

It's good to know that God is so artistic!

2nd post for today...

Guess what I just found out??

Any ideas?

Ready?

I'VE LOST 3 POUNDS!! WOOT WOOT!

7 more to go until I'm at my goal!! AND I just bought a small little Weber grill, so I can FINALLY get all healthy eating and stuff AT HOME!!

Who's a freakshow? Oh, that'd be me...

So... Last night I worked at Target (my last Tuesday night, they approved my schedule change *cue happy dance*) and we just got slaughtered so I was there until 10:45pm. I didn't get home until 11pm, then had to play with the pups and unwind a bit...

I crawl into bed, double-check the alarm, kiss the pooches and lay my head down to sleep. The next thing I remember is I'm walking through a park. It was the park that was across the street from my former partner's house. It was dusk or dawn and wasn't very bright. I remember the lights in the park were still on. The park was completely empty and I'm not entirely sure why I was there, but as I walked past the basketball court, I was stopped by a young, black man. He was asking me how I was doing and seemed like a nice, normal person. All of a sudden, BAM! I'm being attacked by a few other guys while the other guy watched.

I woke up.

I was a little freaked out by this because I DO NOT EVER remember my dreams. If I do, it's not a whole lot of detail... When I lived over there, I had a friend over for dinner and 3 of us went for a walk in the park. It was broad daylight and we're just having a nice little walk. Teo punks started following us and one threw a couple sticks at us. They got closer, said something about 'faggotty-ass white boy' and then we knew we were in trouble. We tried to get out of the park and head back home, but they caught up with us and decked my friend in the jaw and knocked him out... it was an INCREDIBLY scary experience. --  This was a while ago and I'm not sure if the dream is related, but if it is, why am I rehashing it now???

So, I check to see if I have two black labs sleeping next to me. One, two... YUP, they're still here... Kissed them both, and I closed my eyes and tried to fall asleep again...

*POOF*  I'm awakened and being watched by a guy from the gym. He's about 5' 8", and very muscular. He's got a little goatee and a shaved head. I have always thought he was attractive, but didn't play in my sandbox. He was just standing there... Watching me sleep. Smiling.  -- this one happened like 3 times last night... I would close my eyes and there he'd be... Then I'd wake up.

It was so incredibly weird...

Sunscreen...

When you're going to spend more than 7 hours outside playing softball on a BEAUTIFUL day... Wear sunscreen.

Apparently, I had NO common sense on Sunday and ended up being ill yesterday as a result. Not good!

Anyway, I got a surprise yesterday. One of the men (Cute Mikey) that I have met recently actually showed some interest! CM had sent me some messages on the computer while I was out playing softball on Sunday. So, I gave him a call yesterday and we chatted for a while and he said I should visit him at Vera's and give him a study break. He said he'd be there all day.

I started feeling better around 2pm, so I decided to take the girls out to the lake and go for a walk. Akima was a little pissed about it since it was a HOT day, however, she got her revenge when I let her go into the water. She waded out, laid down in the water (conveniently out of reach)  and stared at me... She wasn't moving.

After about 5 minutes, I just walked back up to the grass and sat down and they soon followed. I have never seen these two play in that water like they did yesterday. They're SO cute!

Anyway, after the walk I drove over the Vera's with the pups and went in the chat with CM. He was studying and listening to his iTunes... He is SO damn cute. We talk about a bunch of stuff: coming out, family relationships, good places to eat, and more stuff...

I was getting ready to go and let him study some more when he asked if I wanted to grab dinner. WOO HOO!

So, we headed back to my house so I could feed the pups and change my shirt. I showed him around, he mocked me a lot, and then we left.. goood times!  In my book, if you can tease me and I still want to be around you, that's a good thing!

We decided on Leaning Tower for dinner. We had a Hawaiian Pizza with shrimp on it... It was actually REALLY good!! We talked a lot more about him, his family, the Iowa Start Fair (I think we're going to go), my family, my coming out, online gaming, law stuff (since he's studying for the BAR), and about how he's a 'make-out whore'... I REALLY want to explore that last one...

:-)

He likes to touch, loves dogs, loves peanut butter fudge ice cream and has some MEAN guns!!

I can't wait until that damn exam is over...

Small Gay World

So, I've been hanging out on gay.com when I'm not at Targay, walking the pups or at my full-time job. Just chatting, looking at the RARE cute boys, saying 'Hi' to them then being ignored... *SIGH*

Anyway, there has been this guy who I thought was VERY cute, but just never said anything to. I saw him out at the Underground last Saturday and he actually looked really good in person too. We made eye contact and he smiled big, but me being the chicken-shit that I am just kept on dancing and pretty much let the guy get away.

So, back to gay.com. I was online Wednesday after softball practice and Porters. I see him online when I log in and decide to take the plunge. He actually says 'Hi' back. *GASP* I'm thinking 'SHIT! What do I do now? I'm used to being ignored!' So I issue the standard: 'What's up?' 'How ya doing?' 'Where ya from?' 'What do you do?'

-- Out of the blue he says, 'I know you from Elk River.' WTF, MATE? Elk River is where I grew up and went to high school. Turns out that in my senior year, I was the 'Mayor' in the Pied Piper of Hamlin, A musical (not a pretty moment for me... my Mom came to one of the shows and I TOTALLY forgot the words... oops). This kid was the 9th grader hired to play the piano for the show. Apparently, he had a HUGE crush on me and now he seems to think I'm still cute.

*shrugs*

He's a cutie, so it'll be good to catch up and find out more about him. Told him to send me an e-mail and he said the same thing... So I did and no response...

Pre-last night's fiasco

On my way from the office to my home , I was text messaged by Cute Mikey (at least that's how I have him programmed into my phone). CM is the man I went out with on Sunday night. I had been thinking about how crappy my life was because I had to work 2 jobs and was getting down on myself, but the message TOTALLY turned my day around (until I actually GOT to work).

The message was simple 'Do you text?' I replied, 'I save it 4 flirting & being cute with cute boys who like me.' -- PATHETIC, I know...

Just a few more messages were exchanged but it still made me feel SO good... I like stuff like that. It's the little things that make life enjoyable. I hope to string a bunch of those little things together with a man who cares about me.

It's nice to know that somewhere out there, someone is thinking of you. Make someone aware that you're thinking of them today...

OMFG!

OK... Before I rant I wanted to apologize for being so negative lately, but this rant may shed some light on it. (Joey, I'm sorry for being down and crabby)

-----------------------------------------

I have been stressed about my job for some time now. I NEED a new one and hopefully one that pays more. To make up some of the slack, I have a part-time job at Target. I simply just stock the shelves, run from here-to-there answering questions and stand around and look pretty.

I've been there for 3 years and everyone praises me on how glad they are that I still work there, how hard I work, and how I can run the store when everyone else is on break...

I asked last night if it would be possible to scale back my working hours because I seem to be ill and worn out ALL the time lately. The HR exec said, 'If it were up to me, I'd say no. You'll need to ask Scott.' WTF?!?! This coming from the woman that falls to my feet when I come in beaus she knows shit will get done. Whatever, Heather...

So, I put in a formal request and have to wait for Scott to approve or deny the change.

In light of the attitude I had just witnessed, I decided to try a little experiment for the evening. Ususally, I have my own method for managing my departments and making sure I will be done with my work by 10pm. I'm a rock-star about it.

I decided last night that I would simply follw the direction of the Team Leads and LOD's and stick to what their 'plan' for the evening was. So, I picked up my stray (this is the stuff people leave in the wrong place around the store or returns) and started putting that away. Then I was told that pets needed to be restocked. So I did that. Electronics got a little busy so I helped out. Took a couple guest calls. Went back to pets and *poof* it's 8:30pm... hmmmm...

I asked for my break (because everyone else takes theirs and then some) and took a quick one to down a short can of Pringles. Went back out and the Team leads ask, 'So, is the far side done?' I don't think I've ever laughed so hard in my life.

The toy department looked like it was x-mas time, all of the patio stuff is clearance and was a mess, and health and beauty was completely a shambles. So, I just started working my way through toys and cleaning some of the shit up and the team lead decide to come over and tell me what to do. I take it all in stride, because I want them to show me how incompetent they are.

When everything was all said and done, I walked out of the building at 10:45pm... Should have been 10:00pm on the nose. It was one of our better staffed nights and we fell flat on our faces.

I am SOOOOO tired of that place. One of the few redeeming qualities is it's the 'gay' Target. I get a lot of eye candy coming through, but no date offers yet. DAMN IT!

Aiight... I'm done bitching...

Assult Weapons? Legal?

Sign the petition!!

Obsess Much?

What is it with potential dates and wanting to read my blog? I have had most of the guys I've gone out with ask if they can read what I'm writing.

Last night one of them read what I had wrote (because a friend told him he needed to see it) and is now 'wanting space.'

What do you want to read? Trying to find out my innermost, deepest, darkest secrets? I tell you all how I feel and what I think of you. I'm not putting anything out here that I wouldn't say to your face. If you ask me what I wrote about you, I'll read it to you verbatim.

FYI: I am single. I am finding new people to get to know. One day I hope one of them 'clicks' with me and I get to grow old with them. Please understand this.

I am no longer going to mention this space to ANYONE who has potential for a date... Might make this all less stressful.

OK... On a lighter note:

I had a date last night with a cutie from Iowa. He was INCREDIBLY easy to talk to and we seemed to have LOTS in common. Hell, our Dad's each had a gun room in our homes we grew up in. He's attractive, smart, likes dogs, has a motorcycle, likes tattoos and has one, likes sweeter cocktails, and wants a Shiba Inu.

He's going to be taking the BAR exam in a couple weeks, so hopefully I'll get a second date once that's all done. *crosses fingers*

WOW!

Read what Aaron has to say...

Can I get a WOOT WOOT?!?

WHAT A GREAT WEEKEND!!

I learned a lesson tho: Check blogs over the weekend! I missed SparklesMPLS at Wilde Roast on Saturday... :-(

I didn't have to work at the Targay, got to walk the pups 6 miles (I thought Akima was gonna drop-kick my ass into the lake), saw a friend from out-of-town, and met some cute-ass boys!!

Friday night I had a date with a friend of a friend. He's HELLA-sexy and an INCREDIBLY smart/informed man. I was intimidated by him. We went to downtown Hopkins and had dinner at Chipotle. It was good food, good company and a FUCKING beautiful evening!! We went back to his place and talked about where he had moved from and some of the stuff he did down there. He's a talker, so good thing I'm a listener, huh? :-) He's definitely someone I want to get to know...

I surrendered my shift at Target on Saturday and I think it was one of the BEST things I could have done for my soul. I got to sleep in until 10:30am and then cleaned my room and did some laundry. Went out to Calhoun and did one lap and got a call from George saying he and Jer were on the way. *DING, DING* ROUND 2!! The girls were SERIOUSLY disgruntled with me about a third of the way around. They made it and I don't think I have EVER heard Yuna snore as long as she did!

I crashed (accidentally) while making my bed... And woke up around 8pm... Had to call M-boy and explain why I missed dinner plans. SO I got jazzed up and called George and he pulled some 'I'm tired' crap on me so I made plans with Carlos to meet up at Fridays.

Marla had just gotten off work so it was AWESOME to hang with her. We went over to Copelands and had dinner and cocktails. Carlos and I continued over to the Underground.

I like it! My only issue with it (besides the smell of 'tina'-sweat once the circuit boys hit the floor) is that I couldn't see anyone... It's a non-smoking bar and they fill it with theatrical fog. I could have been standing 4 feet from Brad Pitt and I would not have known. Oh well... At least it's not smokey-smokey. I went upstairs for a friend to smoke and almost choked on the cigarette smoke at the top of the stairs...

DJ Richard Cawood was spinning that night and I have known him for quite some time. He did a PHENOMENAL job and I'm VERY proud of him. He actually came out to softball on Sunday and I got a chance to sit and chat with him. I miss hanging with him. Needs to happen more often.

Let the bar (alone) at a decent hour and got home safely. Cuddled up with my babies and went to sleep. CRASH! BANG! ZAP! Fucking storm! It was SO loud Yuna was freaking out... Therefore, I can't sleep with a 60 pound black lab trying to sit on my head. So at 3:50am I'm trying to get my neurotic little companion to cool her jets while her sister snores away on the end of the bed.

Anyway... Softball got ALL screwed up because of the rain, but they moved the games to some GREAT fields over by the Quarry in NE Mpls. I wish we could play there ALL the time. We got stomped by the Rators (I had to pitch... 'nuf said) and had to reschedule the 2nd game because some of the team members couldn't make it because of work conflicts.

I met up with a guy named Kyle for coffee (Italian soda for him; smoothie for me). He's a cool guy but I'm not sure how to take him yet... He lives VERY well and I've had too many POOR experiences with people who have money... I dunno... Need to hang with him some more to see what he's all about.

Also set-up dinner plans with a cutie-patootie for this evening... More on that one tomorrow!!

I'm done for now. Laters!

Gay O'Meter

Raincheck!

Well... considering my weekend has now gone to SHIT, I'll have to make the movie thing happen some other time. Maybe Sunday after softball... I'll be tired, but either of those movies should keep me awake!

[SOAPBOX]

Kinda along the lines of Jimbo's statements yesterday about faux bloggers, I'd like to say something that pisses me off.

I commented on SparklesMpls' blog and some anonymous jack-ass tries to be cute. What I don't understand is 1) if you're gonna comment, own up to it and 2) comments are there to continue, build-upon or affirm someone's statements so don't get all sassy up in someone else's blog (unless that's the nature of the post).

Just say who you are if you don't have a blog. If you comment a few times, then we at least know it's someone who reads our blogs occasionally. Hell, just label it 'bitchy queen' at the end so we know it's the same person. GOT IT?!

For all you anonymous people out there: CREATE a blog. It's easy. It's fun. Be sarcastic. Be eloquent. Just be yourself.

Wow... It's been a while!

I've been feeling like ASS lately but it's finally starting to go away, so I should be alright.

My weekend was ok but fairly uneventful. M-boy and I went out for our 'official' date #3 on Friday. He took me out to eat at California Pizza Kitchen and then I treated him to Shrek 2. I LOVED the movie (if anyone wants to see it and needs someone to go with, let me know! I'll watch it again!) and the company was good.

We came back to my house and played with the pups, but I told him it was time for him to go and he seemed to be upset with me about it. I have been trying to get to bed at a decent hour AND trying to keep M-boy out of my pants... I dunno... I'm not too sure what I want right now.

Saturday I felt pretty blah and struggled through my day at Target. Once I got home I napped, then had a cocktail, chatted online a bit and then headed to bed. WOOT! EXCITING!!

Sunday we went to the Rainbow Rooster for Brunch. Now, I have been giving these guys WAY too many breaks when I've been there... Did you know they don't serve tomato juice as a beverage? The don't use Coke or Pepsi and still charge $2 for a soda. I decided to have the brunch buffet... It looked good! Well... Of the 20 or so items, the corn and biscuits were the most edible of all. My friend tried the chicken fried steak and found that it had been SEVERELY undercooked. Of those who ordered off the menu, not a one got it how the menu described it. It's kinda sad.

Also, the service was incredibly poor. I mean, we were his only table...

HOWEVER, one of our group got a hamburger (not with what he wanted on it, but this is supposed to be a compliment) and he said it was VERY good. So, I will NEVER hit the brunch there again but I'll gladly go in and try their dinner selection.

SIDE NOTE: The bartender on Sunday morning was SUPER HOT!!

Spiderman 2 was next on the list. We drove up to Brooklyn Park and went to the Regal cinema up there. We were early, so Tim and I decided to hit their little arcade and guess what was there??

C'mon, GUESS!!

DANCE, DANCE REVOLUTION!!

I inserted my dollar and demonstrated why this whiteboy should NEVER dance in the daylight. But, OMFG I LOVE that game! Carlos and I played it after the movie too (3 times)!!

Spiderman 2 is a GREAT movie! They did SO well with the villain, Tobey is as hot as ever, and the guy that Mary Jane Watson leaves at the altar is a HUNK!

WE decided to head over to Ron's for the 4th of July celebration. He and Will have a beautiful house with a gorgeous backyard. I hadn't eaten much all day and of course there was drinking to be done.

Now, I'm a fool and I'm swearing off alcohol for a while. I drank too much for how little food I consumed AND not feeling well on the top of it wasn't pretty.

Ron's best friend was there and, of course, I think he's cute. That's the way it ALWAYS works... So... Needless to say the cute boy thinks I'm a freak. Oh well.

So... I get a ride home and pretty much pass out. I feel like ass the next morning and them the 'flu' also decides to kick in. Not pretty... Not pretty at all...

My fever broke this morning but my tummy is still a bit on the icky side... I'll try to eat lunch today and see how my body does with that.
