Small Gay World
So, I've been hanging out on gay.com when I'm not at Targay, walking the pups or at my full-time job. Just chatting, looking at the RARE cute boys, saying 'Hi' to them then being ignored... *SIGH*
Anyway, there has been this guy who I thought was VERY cute, but just never said anything to. I saw him out at the Underground last Saturday and he actually looked really good in person too. We made eye contact and he smiled big, but me being the chicken-shit that I am just kept on dancing and pretty much let the guy get away.
So, back to gay.com. I was online Wednesday after softball practice and Porters. I see him online when I log in and decide to take the plunge. He actually says 'Hi' back. *GASP* I'm thinking 'SHIT! What do I do now? I'm used to being ignored!' So I issue the standard: 'What's up?' 'How ya doing?' 'Where ya from?' 'What do you do?'
-- Out of the blue he says, 'I know you from Elk River.' WTF, MATE? Elk River is where I grew up and went to high school. Turns out that in my senior year, I was the 'Mayor' in the Pied Piper of Hamlin, A musical (not a pretty moment for me... my Mom came to one of the shows and I TOTALLY forgot the words... oops). This kid was the 9th grader hired to play the piano for the show. Apparently, he had a HUGE crush on me and now he seems to think I'm still cute.
*shrugs*
He's a cutie, so it'll be good to catch up and find out more about him. Told him to send me an e-mail and he said the same thing... So I did and no response...
Mucho Bizarro!

Pre-last night's fiasco
On my way from the office to my home , I was text messaged by Cute Mikey (at least that's how I have him programmed into my phone). CM is the man I went out with on Sunday night. I had been thinking about how crappy my life was because I had to work 2 jobs and was getting down on myself, but the message TOTALLY turned my day around (until I actually GOT to work).
The message was simple 'Do you text?' I replied, 'I save it 4 flirting & being cute with cute boys who like me.' -- PATHETIC, I know...
Just a few more messages were exchanged but it still made me feel SO good... I like stuff like that. It's the little things that make life enjoyable. I hope to string a bunch of those little things together with a man who cares about me.
It's nice to know that somewhere out there, someone is thinking of you. Make someone aware that you're thinking of them today...

OMFG!
OK... Before I rant I wanted to apologize for being so negative lately, but this rant may shed some light on it. (Joey, I'm sorry for being down and crabby)
-----------------------------------------
I have been stressed about my job for some time now. I NEED a new one and hopefully one that pays more. To make up some of the slack, I have a part-time job at Target. I simply just stock the shelves, run from here-to-there answering questions and stand around and look pretty.
I've been there for 3 years and everyone praises me on how glad they are that I still work there, how hard I work, and how I can run the store when everyone else is on break...
I asked last night if it would be possible to scale back my working hours because I seem to be ill and worn out ALL the time lately. The HR exec said, 'If it were up to me, I'd say no. You'll need to ask Scott.' WTF?!?! This coming from the woman that falls to my feet when I come in beaus she knows shit will get done. Whatever, Heather...
So, I put in a formal request and have to wait for Scott to approve or deny the change.
In light of the attitude I had just witnessed, I decided to try a little experiment for the evening. Ususally, I have my own method for managing my departments and making sure I will be done with my work by 10pm. I'm a rock-star about it.
I decided last night that I would simply follw the direction of the Team Leads and LOD's and stick to what their 'plan' for the evening was. So, I picked up my stray (this is the stuff people leave in the wrong place around the store or returns) and started putting that away. Then I was told that pets needed to be restocked. So I did that. Electronics got a little busy so I helped out. Took a couple guest calls. Went back to pets and *poof* it's 8:30pm... hmmmm...
I asked for my break (because everyone else takes theirs and then some) and took a quick one to down a short can of Pringles. Went back out and the Team leads ask, 'So, is the far side done?' I don't think I've ever laughed so hard in my life.
The toy department looked like it was x-mas time, all of the patio stuff is clearance and was a mess, and health and beauty was completely a shambles. So, I just started working my way through toys and cleaning some of the shit up and the team lead decide to come over and tell me what to do. I take it all in stride, because I want them to show me how incompetent they are.
When everything was all said and done, I walked out of the building at 10:45pm... Should have been 10:00pm on the nose. It was one of our better staffed nights and we fell flat on our faces.
I am SOOOOO tired of that place. One of the few redeeming qualities is it's the 'gay' Target. I get a lot of eye candy coming through, but no date offers yet. DAMN IT!
Aiight... I'm done bitching...

Obsess Much?
What is it with potential dates and wanting to read my blog? I have had most of the guys I've gone out with ask if they can read what I'm writing.
Last night one of them read what I had wrote (because a friend told him he needed to see it) and is now 'wanting space.'
What do you want to read? Trying to find out my innermost, deepest, darkest secrets? I tell you all how I feel and what I think of you. I'm not putting anything out here that I wouldn't say to your face. If you ask me what I wrote about you, I'll read it to you verbatim.
FYI: I am single. I am finding new people to get to know. One day I hope one of them 'clicks' with me and I get to grow old with them. Please understand this.
I am no longer going to mention this space to ANYONE who has potential for a date... Might make this all less stressful.

OK... On a lighter note:
I had a date last night with a cutie from Iowa. He was INCREDIBLY easy to talk to and we seemed to have LOTS in common. Hell, our Dad's each had a gun room in our homes we grew up in. He's attractive, smart, likes dogs, has a motorcycle, likes tattoos and has one, likes sweeter cocktails, and wants a Shiba Inu.
He's going to be taking the BAR exam in a couple weeks, so hopefully I'll get a second date once that's all done. *crosses fingers*
