Things to do before the new year:
2) Get strep throat (check)
3) Prove Katie Holmes used a turkey baster (working on it)
The car is drivable, i'm ok and things could have been a lot worse!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!
HE GOT ME AN iPOD!! I got the 2GB black Nano! It's awesome, but I'm not so sure I've got a grip on iTunes... so, if you're an iTunes master... PLEASE e-mail me!! I have some questions.
Mikey's big gift was a painting from Michael Birawer. He's a local artist that does FUNKY paintings of our local establishments. I got Mikey the Leaning Tower of Pizza because that's where we had our 3rd date!
It was fun! Had brunch with Carlos and George yesterday and then got mikey an upgraded graphics card for his computer because the game I gave him for x-mas won't currently work on his PC as is.

RENT
OH NO!! It's about the GAYS!! That negates all of it's acclaims and awards!! This isn't culture; it's PROPOGANDA!!
I hate Focus on the Family. I tried to find the actual review online, but haven't been able to locate it.

Update: I found the Family.org review website. They have an elaborate website for reviews. Here's the RENT review.
THANK YOU!

Now for the story:
Carlos has doing dishes and tthe drain was going slow. He decided to pop over the the Ace hardware just 2 blocks away for some draino. He exited through the back door, cut across the church parking lot and headed down Nicollet. Ahead of him we 3, late-teem black men walking down the street.
They turned down a side street and Carlos contimued to Ace. About halfway into the block, Carlos noticed someone tugging at his pocket. One of the thugs was behind him and wanted his money. The other two began to hit Carlos.
The person passing the the black truck stopped to help and the thugs ran off. Carlos is OK, but he lost his glasses.
COme to find out that a guy at the hardware store was jumped by a gang of thugs not too long ago in the parking lot of Ace. He thinks they live in a house LESS THAN A BLOCK from us... SCARY!
Makes me want to carry a bat with me when I let the girls out in the morning/evening.
Stupid fucking punks.

Crazies...
-> He was in the Army and so was another member who was in the gym at the time.
-> He doesn't drink anymore.
-> Korean women are hot.
-> He thinks there are too many 'crazy' people at the 'Y'.
-> He admires me for saying what I did to Peanuts.
-> He 'fucking hates that guy!'
Then after showing that I wasn't too terribly interested he said in closure:
'You know who I hate? Those fucking gay guys, man!'
I turned back to my gameboy and added him to my mental 'ignore list'...
I LOVE winter!!
My 5 minute commute turns to 30 minutes...
Minnesotans FREAK OUT when they see snow, as if it's something foreign to them... (Yes, even those imported from Iowa)
Walking on a sidewalk can be as entertaining as my first day on rollerblades...
The pups come into the house and leave paw prints on EVERYTHING...
So, love it or not, I'm stuck with it.

Harry Potter
High points: (forgive my spelling; I haven't read the books)
Voldemort is FREAKY! VERY well played.
Incredible animations!
Lots of complexities revealed.
The guys from the other 'russian' school were kinda hot!
Hermoine is beautiful!
Snape -- LOVE HIM!
Stuff I think it needed:
More explaination of a few things: portkeys, death eaters, curses.
I can't believe Hermoine didn't know what a portkey was and how to use it.
I'm having trouble with the 'new' Dumbledor...
There seems to be less closure. Must be setting up for a final movie.

Weeked approaches...
I'm tired and ready for a break. Mikey is going to Iowa this weekend so I'm going to veg and play my game most of the weekend (other than my Target time).
George and I might hang out on Sunday but we'll work those plans out tomorrow as he is coming with to see Harry Potter.
Have a Great day!! STAY WARM!! (currently 21 degrees here)

'It's REALLY nice!'
'It's REALLY nice! It has hardwood floors and stainless steel appliances.'
That's all he offered for amenities, location, or anything to determine 'nice'.
I just find it funny that real wood and stainless steel are all it takes to 'sell' a place as 'nice'.

Even Shorter...
This was my first weekend with Mikey working his 3pm-Midnight shift.
It was a fairly lonely week, communicating through text messages while he's at work. Our weekend starts with me at Target. He comes in and eats lunch with me and we make comments about all the 'hot' and 'not-so-hot' people that come in. :D
Then I finish up work at 3pm, bee-line it to home, and play my game a bit. I call him, work out a plan and then we spend our time together...
It's going to be an adjustment, but we're already one week into it and I'm pretty sure we'll make it.

Early Turkey Day Greeting
Happy Turkey Day!
Monday, October 24, 2005
T-minus 1 week and counting...
That means I'll get to wake up to him on Saturday Morning, work at Target, hang with him at night, hang with him Sunday and then not see him again until the next Saturday.
Ick.
Ick. Ick. Ick.
Well... I guess I'll get more quality time with my games then. :)
It'll be a challenge, but only for a month!

Dude...
He's in his late 50's or early 60's, about 5'11 and not in too bad of shape. I'm not sure what he does exactly, but he will spend hours sitting on the floor or sprawled out in his swim trunks working on his PDA or his laptop.
He also talks to himself. Sometimes he'll be sitting and oscillating. Odd.
Outside the steam room and sauna are rules. One of the rule is 'Do not cover the vent.'
Peanuts had taken over the steam room and in his usual manner, took a paper towel and covered the vent. When I was done with my workout, I hopped in the steam room where it was about 150 degrees! That's WAY too hot and there was no steam.. It was just hot and kinda dry.
I've learned with Peanuts that if you come in, spray down the 'steaming thingy' and actually fill the room with steam, he'll leave.
I chased him out the first time, took down the paper towel and held the door open to let some of the heat out. I reset the room so it was a LOT more tolerable and actually a steam room.
Another gentleman joined me and said that it was so 'fucking' hot in there before he had to get out. We agreed and I relaxed and inhaled some steam.
Peanuts comes back. You can tell he's upset, but he turns around (after coming into the room) and comes back a few seconds later with a papertowel in his hand.
I don't think ANYONE has ever said anything to him before because he seems a touch unstable. Today, I said something...
Smitty: Hey, no towels on the vents, dude!
Peanuts: (angrily) I want to see your ID card that says you have the authority to say that!
Smitty: Do you want me to go to the emergency phone to get someone up here who does work here?
Peanuts: Fine!
I leave the room and go call downstairs and told them the situation.
I hang up the phone and head back into the steam room. I WOULD NOT have gone back in if it weren't for the other guy that witnessing the situation...
Peanuts: You are threatening me! The way you used the word 'dude' was threatening!
Smitty: I just said that it's a rule not to put things over the vent. It's says explicitly outside the door NOT to do so.
Peanuts: SIR, where do you work?
Smitty: You do not need to know that information. All you need to know is that I pay my membership here just like you do. You are not entitled to my personal information.
Peanuts: Yes I am! You are 5 times my junior and are big! (I think I giggled when he said that)
Joe from the front desk comes up to talk to the guy.
Peanuts RUNS out of the steam room and starts to YELL that I going to attack him.
Peanuts (to Joe): The way he used the word 'dude' was hostile and I felt threatened! I am 5 times his senior and he is a lot more muscular than I! He was threatening me!
Joe turns to me and says: Michael, what happened?
Peanuts tries to interrupt me and Joe give him a hand to the face!! (I love Joe. He's a 50 year old black guys that dislikes NO ONE)
I explained what I said and what I meant and the other guy backed me up completely. Joe said: Michael, you're ok. You're in the right.
I left to hop in the shower and I could hear Peanuts going crazy!! He disappeared while I was in the shower, but when I came back out Joe was waiting...
Joe: That dude has a short fuse. You're alright.
Smitty: I'll just not stick around if he's here. I also have issues with his laying on the floor half-naked and working o this laptop and PDA... I'll just let it go!
I go back to my locker and a TON of other people come up to me:
Random YMCA-er: 'I can understand getting upset over someone calling you 'asshole' or 'fucker' but 'dude'? That man is CRAZY!'
Smitty: How can he feel threatened? I don't think I know how to throw a punch!
Another Random YMCA-er: (chuckling) 'I guess we all better watch out use of 'dude' huh?
The older gentlemen near my locker were just CRACKING up because they all have experienced the oddity that is 'Peanuts.'

Coming Out
Well, I haven't had a bad experience yet.
I knew all the way back in the 7th grade. You know when you hop in the bus and go to the pool for gym class. All the guys getting changed into the speedo-esqe suimsuit (you HAD to use one of theirs ... weird!) in the locker room and I got my first actual look at developing muscles. I remember on wrestler (no Jake, it wasn't you) who was incredible. I'm talking nice abs, chest, legs, etc... I caught myself staring. It was then that I had a pretty good idea that I liked guys.
No one ever questioned why I didn't have a girlfriend. I was a computer/choir/drama geek and I think most chalked it up to me being terribly fugly...
It was nice; no pressure.
During high school, I only experimented once. A man from the internet. Ick. He was overweight, scragly, and creepy.... just creepy. He e-mailed pics of someone else in order to meet up. Comforting to know the gay 'troll' mentality hasn't changed in 13 years. He brought me porn... I took it and RAN! I hopped in my car and drove around the back roads in hopes he wasn't following me. It was a very disturbing experience, but I also got to explore gay porn for the first time. HOT!
I held all activity off until college. I met another music major at school and we made out one night. We simply kissed for a bit and I left. After that he 'freaked out' and wouldn't talk to me. For ten years we never said a word. I randomly wrote him and his wife to see how they were (you can get alumni addresses off our school's website). He is married, had two kids and is now in the process of coming out himself! (You go J!!) I now chat with him everyday online and I believe he has a date coming up with a hottie. WOO HOO!!
During college breaks, I'd go home and spend most of my time exploring the city of Minneapolis. Being gay, or at least trying to understand it is a HECK of a lot easier in a larger city. Moer specifically, I hung out in Uptown. I happened upon it while exploring one day and i've been facinated ever since. Cafe Wyrd, Lake Calhoun, Uncommon Grounds, Borders, and Figlio... plenty of places to see and 'be seen' and to check out the 'gays' to see how I was supposed to fit in.
Eleven years have passed.
I'm now leading a gay softball team (with the help of my friends), dating a WONDERFUL man, working in a city I love and have a strong group of gay friends who I'll do anything for.
I love you guys! :P
Not sure that's a 'coming out' story, but it's how I am 'me'.

Hello!
I don't have A LOT of pics there, but go take a look!
All is quiet on the Smitty front. I wasn't feeling the greatest the morning because I just couldn't sleep last night... and when I did sleep, I was fighting ninjas with Yuna and Akima in my dreams...
Let me tell you... Yuna can kick some ass!! :D
Anyway, I think I'm due to visit the doctor againa and see what my options are for sleep therapy. They have clinics where you sleep there overnight and you're hooked up to all sorts of gadgets. It'd be interesting if domething came of it, but creepy in the fact that someone is watching you while you sleep...
I need to figure something out. Must. Get. Sleep.
Maybe just reading or playing with the dogs for a half hour before bedtime would allow my brain to settle down.
WHO KNOWS!

My Salvation!
It's the Motorola E815 and it seems to be a good one. It got on a top ten list for best cell phones, so I figured I'd give it a shot. It has the fancy V-Cast stuff on it, but I'm not into that.
The camera is good and has some options like black and white or antique. Good zoom too.
Piece of Shit!!
Don't buy this piece of crap!
This is a Public Service announcment from Smitty.
Simple Things
I got a brand new optical mouse for my PC now. It's like going from driving a Ford Festiva to a BMW 7-series!
I'm am just AMAZED at how shitty my mouse was and I just dealt with it.
If I EVER get a new PC here at work I think I'll have to take a half-day. It'd just be TOO MUCH to handle!!
:D

Sanity
I was walking in today and came upon a man who was wearing a baseball cap, sunglasses, a 'north face' like jacket, jeans, and a almost full-length skirt...
He was yelling to himself an a 'Nathan Lane ala Birdcage' kind of voice. I couldn't make out a lot of it, but this is what I made out:
We came up to a big church on Nicollet and 12th:
Said to the church: 'What are you doing Downtown? You're like 6000 years old!'
Then, in front of this church is a stature with 3 naked people, he says:
'Good Heavens' places a hand on his hip 'PUT SOME CLOTHES ON THAT BOY!'
Then, he scurries over to the trash, pulls out an empty orange juice container. Turns to me and says 'Did you hear about the thunderstorms in Egypt?!'
I took off! I'm now thinking it would have been fun to talk to him, but I was chicken.
I was definately an awkward start to my morning! :P
(I'm checking the weather in Egypt right now)

Soda...
I'm actually down .5 pounds from yesterday. It's the direction I want to keep going.
I've cute out soda before and lost TONS of weight. I know I can do this.
It's not even a caffeine issue because I still get coffee in the morning (with creamer and 2 splendas from SA) so I know that not the deal.
I DID make it to the gym this morning to do a leg workout. They're a little pissed at me right now and every once in a while I'll hit one of those 'imaginary stairs'. You know, when you're walking along and your knee buckles? I alwasy think that looks like someone falling down the steps.
So, fellow bloggers, if you see me in the skyway and I do a faceplant in IDS... PLEASE laugh at me but help me back up. I don't think my legs will be much help at that point!

Monday
I had some things brought to my attention last night (all of which I can agree with):
1) I've put on weight since last year
2) I don't eat very well
3) I don't take the dogs for enough walks
4) I don't clean up the shedding hair in regular intervals
5) My room is a mess
6) I don't wash dishes promptly
All because I chose to play a video game and relax most of the day on Sunday. I was told to call and we could do something, but I had it in my mind to call for dinner plans and then hang out after that. I didn't realize it needed to be ASAP. There was no expectation set.
However, we never got around to hanging out because the mood was severely dampened. I got most of the dishes done but I don't want to play any games anymore.
Today I am sad, I over slept, i have a headache and I don't want to be at work.
Shitty Monday for me.

Glasses
I've been at work for a half hour and I've received 6 compliments on my glasses. My glasses that I've had for over a year, but never work into work for some reason.
I have an eye doctor appointment today so I decided to wear them. Apparently, it's better to wear your glasses before an eye exam because they are less irritated.
I'll see if I can get a pic uploaded, but who knows how that'll go.
Gonna be a BUSY day! Doing my work AND the work of the normal dispatcher in IT. ICK!
Happy Friday Peeps!

Gym Towels
I went to the gym today and realized I hadn't packed a gym towel when I was diggin around for my gear.
I went to the desk and paid $1 for two of the tiny YMCA towels. I popped them int my locker and proceeded to the workout floor to do my thing.
After 45 minutes, I head down to the locker room and grab my towels. Wrapped one around my waist and folded the other up so I could tie it around one of the banisters (so no one would take it).
After 5 minutes in the steamroom I head to the shower and get all squeaky. I untie my other towel from the baister and bring it up to my face to dry it.
HOLY MOTHER OF GOD!!
The towel REEKED of body odor!! Not like it could have been transferred from me or anything, this shit was BUILT IN!
I don't know if this one missed the laundry cycle or what the fuck happened, but I used it to cover my privates (after I dried off using a hand dryer) and scurried back to tmy locker to get dressed.
I took it with me downstairs and went to the front desk. I told them it was repulsive and one of the workers grabbed it (because I only really dried my face) and held it about a foot away from her nose. She could smell it too...
I'm so FUCKING grossed out right now I could vomit.
Cool Weather
I know we bitch and complain about how cold and long our winters are here in MN. Honestly, I think the Spring and Fall weather COMPLETELY make up for it. I love being able to wear shorts and a hoodie.
I know it's a little early to be wishing for Fall, but I love it! Besides, piling up leaves and hiding from the pups is about one of the FUNEST things I have ever done!!
Happy Thursday!!

Um... BRRRRRR!!
I took the pooches out for their morning activities and WOW: I was shivering!!
Good thing is I had to walk in today, so I wasn't a big, ol' sweaty mess by the time I got to work.
Well... With the sun shining now, I'm sure it'll be up to 80 or 90 by the time I leave today!
:)
Happy Wednesday Friends!

Stage One: Collect Underpants!
My underwear has just been lifted! I'm not talking about a wedgie or anything like that. My sweaty boxer briefs that I worked out in today have left the building!!
After lifting and spending some time on the bike, I came down to the locker room and disrobed. I left all of my stinky clothing in a pile in front of my locker... I see others do it all the time so I didn't even think much of it.
I went to the steam room for my 5 minute steam bath (feels good when trying to clear up a cold) then hopped in the shower for a nice hot shower. I toweled off, weighed myself (218lbs. -- 18 pounds to go) and headed back to my locker.
Started getting ready, got all gussied up for going back to work, and then began re-packing my gym bag... I searched and searched and searched for my boxer briefs, but they were nowhere to be found. Gone. Buh Bye.
Odd... VERY odd...
I'm kinda grossed-out about it, but a little bit flattered too. I just hope I don't get them back...
Fat-Ass-B-Gone!
I need to try and be more efficient at the gym... 5 days a week for about 45 minutes... The 10 minutes walk through the skyway eats up a bit of my lunch... BUT, I can maximize the time. I CAN do it.
I just need to read up on the weight-lifting vs. cardio and how to combine the two. If you know of any good articles or websites, let me know!
---------
Saw 'War Of The Worlds' on Sunday... ummm... LAME!!! It was kinda freaky for a while, but when the end comes I felt I got screwed on the explanation. Ruined the movie for me. We were going to see the 'Brothers Grimm' but we missed it by 10 minutes... DEVIL!
---------
I'm also on a new financial plan... ALL credit cards, including my debit card, have been hidden. They will no longer be on my person everyday so I will resist the temptation to BUY! I have $30 to last me the week, bought groceries so I can bring my own lunch and eat healthy at home, AND I can only eat what I have brought with me... We'll see how this goes.
Wish me luck!!

Milwaukee Tournament
The Minneapolis Bad Puppies took 4th place in the 'C Recreational' division at the Dairyland Classic in Milwaukee, Wisconsin over the Labor Day weekend!!
Now, you're probably wondering why I'd be happy about 4th place?
- The Bad Puppies played in the 'D' division in our league here in MPLS. It was a stretch for us to play in 'C Rec', but I wanted to see if we could play up a bit. I'd sure like to see us play some tougher teams next season.
- We entered the 'C Rec' division with 9 other teams. Four of those teams were from Minneapolis. We finished better off than the Gliders and the Crew (Aaron played for them), but got knocked down into the loser's bracket by the Racers.
- Our final game was against the OurGuys.com team from Toronto. Apparently they are 'porn stars', but I honestly think it's SUPERLOW-BUDGET porn... Anyway, it was a rough game. At one point, I believe we were down 18-5 and the Puppies rallied back to TIE the game in extra innings. WE had some major drama toward the end of the game, but they stopped us from scoring the one two runs we needed to beat 'em. 65 minutes ...they are 'pornstars', but I honestly thinkit's SUPERLOW-BUDGET porn...(of excellent softball and probably the most EXCITING game in the entire tournament. Even the locals rallied behind us, but Toronto pulled ahead!
- Losing to Toronto soon became the highlight of the tournament for me. After we finished, the Racers took the field to take on the same team we lost to. Rumor has it that the pre-game pep talk contained a phrase similar to this: We will NOT be beat by a team that almost lost to the Puppies! Irony at its best!! The Racers were SHUT OUT!! They lasted about 15 minutes against the Toronto team and only got 2 hits that resulted in ZERO runs. (At the opening party, Kevin from the Outlaws had said: You're going to struggle in C Rec... Ummm, Kevin was playing for the Racers in this Tournament. :D )
- This tournament was unlike any other. For 4th place they gave all 4th place and Spirit teams a cruise on the river and Lake Michigan for 2 hours... SWEEEEEEEEEEET!
We've already begun talking about going again next year, but staying at a different hotel. The Best Western downtown SUCKS ASS!! They're rude, disorganized, and the hotel just seemed DIRTY!
That's what I got for now...
Oh, I got to ride down in a new Mustang convertible!! Made my weekend!

I have to rotate some others and I'll get them up there too!
Hi Y'all!
I'll post during lunch all about the tournament and stuff!!

Yuna
However, she decided that the rag rug underneath her kennel would be the ULTIMATE relief from a boring day in the kennel! She somehow telepathically pulled HALF of the rug into her kennel and shredded the HELL out of it.
Now, this isn't a big surprise ad I'm kind of used to. However, I'm not so used to vomiting at 4:30am because she's get a big ol' hunk of rug she's got to cough up.
Also, last night after Mikey and I got home, I let the pups out for their evening romp in the backyard. Yuna proceeded to finish BOTH of her 'businesses' and then SHOT across the yard! She ran back and forth and would stop to look at her ass. Ms. Thing had a 12-inch strip of fabric from the rag rug hanging from her behind and couldn't get it out. I laughed for a bit because she acted as if something was chasing her, but I eventually had to get a plastic bag and move in for the assist.
It's nights like these I question my logic for becoming a father...

Another one bites the dust!
It's very hard to believe it has already been a year, but we've made it!
Here's the kicker: We STILL like each other!!! :)
I'm not letting him go anywhere and I'm sure he feels the same way. I love spending time walking around the lakes, going to a movie, playing with the pups and pretty much doing anything with him.
He's intelligent, thoughtful, caring, handsome and funny. What more could I want?
I love you Mike.

Hello Friends!
I'm doing well! I've been trying to lay low at work and not try to spend too much time on the internet. But it is my lunch break so HERE's THE GOOD NEWS:
Mikey has an interview next week at a law firm downtown so PLEASE send good thoughts his way!!
I've very excited for him because his current job kind of SHIT on him and he'll be out of a job in early September.
The girls are doing well and are getting a bath tonight! Wish me luck because Akima don't like taking them!
I'll write more often now and try to get back into the swing of things!

Touching Base
Sorry I've been away so long, but I've been working and they're locking down our internet and everything here at work.
Anyway... The Bad Puppies didn't go so well on the end of the season playoffs. We have our typical 3-4 innings of rough defense then come back and smack the SHIT out of the ball. It just wasn't enough in our last game. We ended up 2 runs short, but I was relieved that we were done.
I'm happy to take the reigns and set-up practices, go to the league meetings, make sure people know when to be where, put the line-ups together, collect tournament information, arrange room assignments for Milwaukee, make sure the team has bats and balls to practice/play with, makes sure the score is kept (thanks Will!!), do attendance, sit out so others can play, make sure we have enough jerseys for everyone, provide a cooler with water for the team, recruit players to compliment our existing ones, communicate with the treasurer with deadlines and stuff... But to some people, I just don't do enough.
Apparently handing off the 'fundraiser' piece to a group of competant people wasn't enough either. According to some, I needed to be there from the beginning, make sure things ran smoothly, solve any problems that arise and stick aroud to clean up afterward. All this and other players get to schlep beer and get the same amount of credit.
Ron has stepped up and really helped out with getting rooms set-aside in Milwaukee and making sure we have water and stuff at the fields. Thank you Ron!
I put this team together because no one else would do it. There were 4 players and a few fans who wanted to stick together, but I was the only one who would step-up and get it going. Trixie DID get us a GREAT sponsor tho! If I hadn't got the team going again this year, I'm not sure who would have.
Next year will be different. Next year we will not run the team 'by committee'. I won't solicit opinions from anyone; I'll just make the decision I see best for the team. I will play my best players and rotate in the rest. I WILL ACTUALLY PLAY (and not just bat)!!

Update!
Mikey and I are going to the lakes tonight to stroll around and then head home to hang for a while. Still have to actually 'get up' in the morning, but after softball I think a nap'll be in order.
I'm working on a new site for pictures. I'll have more info once I decide it's for me.
You all have a GREAT weekend and I'll talk to you later!

THANK YOU!
We did well and I hope to pay for a chunk of everyone's room with it!
On a sad note, I was disappointed in our turn-out from the league. We had less than 15 softball players show and that was terribly disheartening. We swarmed to other fundraisers this year in hopes to draw people to ours and didn't get much in return. In their defense, we planned it on a weekend where there was no softball being played and that hurt us.
Anyway, thanks to:
The Brass Rail and especially Timmy, Stewart and Bob
Brad Palacek
Brad, Bradley and Mickee for throwing it all together and keeping it going
Steph and Rex for prizes and all their help
Tim and Sahara for their donation
King George for all the FABULOUS artwork
The rest of the Bad Puppies for all their hard work (including FUTURE Bad Puppies) :)
The Racers, Riders, PENETRATORS, Sterling, and other teams that made their presence known.
UPDATE: Thanks to CARLOS for grilling up a ba-zillion and a half brats on Sunday!! :-P

Lifae has been pretty boring as of late and work is getting busier. That's about it. Oh, and Yuna is a strange dog. It's been confirmed. :D

Heat Creates Dumb-shits...
When I come to work in the morning, I park near Loring Park and walk thru the park to downtown. As I crossed the park I began to notice a theme.
All of the trash cans were knocked over. Not just one or two but every single one.
Some had trash strewn about, others were still contained and one was even emptied and turned upside down over the payphone in the park. The ones near the basketball court were emptied all over the court.
I felt awful for the group of people that tend to the park because they have A LOT of work to do and now they have to pick up after some idiot(s).
Sad thing is: they probably thought it was funny and will do it again.

First thing I heard at work today:
Coming from a straight, kinda rough, straight man.
I got a good chuckle out of it and told him 'Maybe you should keep that between us!'

Last Night
HOLY SHIT!
I logged on to my super-hero game for a bit and I was on a mission to defeat a lot of carnies (evil circus people). Anyway, during this mission I could feel the drug take effect. Within about 5 minutes, I felt like I had drank an ENTIRE bottle of vodka. The carnies were creepier, everything was distorted and I was trippin'!
It was a fun ride, but I was a little groggy this morning. I will have to take it a bit earlier tonight and see how it goes.
Btw, I loaded the up-north pics into my photo stream. I haven't figured out how to just present one. I'm working on that tho.

We went out!
I even got to meet Jim and Dan in my pre-buzz state. It was nice to meet you guys!
Mikey and I danced the night away with friends and then headed home for some sleepy-sleep. I was POOPED and a little hung-over on Monday. I woke up around 9-ish, let the dogs out and then climbed back into bed and didn't fully regain conciousness until about 2pm.
Mikey and I played our game a bit, went to dinner at PF Chang's and then tried to shop at IKEA but they had closed early.
More later.
This Weekend.
I got to go up North!! Mikey and I spent Friday-Sunday up at the Lake with my family. WE went on pontoon rides, got sunburned, and ate WAY too much.
Yuna and Akima got their feet wet and Akima swims like a fish now. Yuna has some issues because her butt sinks. Not sure how to help her with that.
I'll post pics tonight and they'll be up in my photostream.

HAPPY Post-PRIDE!!
Mighty has blogged.
Aaron had blogged.
Dan has blogged.
My turn!!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mikey and I hit the Parade for a while after stopping at George's for his Pride festivities.
As usual, I found the parade BORING, but it was fun to see people that I haven't seen in quite a while. Saw some hot guys, some scary people, and some VERY cute puppies.
Ran into Darren from softball and his entourage. They live in Laurel Village and their house was a party; 11 stories up!!
Met up with Mikey's friend Jonathan from his summer internship at a law firm.
We left the parade far before it was over and headed back into the park and took some private time to just walk around and look at things. After a while we gave the crowd a call and joined up with everyone. We walked the park, went back up to George's to eat (and cool off), and then headed back down.
It was a fun day, but also a long one.
A few new pics in the photostream.

HAPPY PRIDE!
But, I'm looking forward to this weekend!!
I have the day off from Target, get to spend the weekend with Mikey, and get to roam the park with my friends.
This year I'm actually going to the parade. I've got some mixed emotions about that because it turns out to be VERY long and way too political. I'll go and have fun, I always do. Mikey REALLY wants to go, so I can't say no.
Star Wars on Saturday!! I can't wait!
Anyway, more after Pride and hopefully lots of pics!

My Boyfriend beats me!!
All I ask is that if I'm going to get bruised I WANT THE STICH-MARKS!
I have 2 places on my left forearm that aren't looking too pretty. The one closest to my wrist it still swollen and the other looks like ring-worm.
I also got clobbered in the jaw, but that on is hidden by my goatee. My jaw hurts tho.
Steph and I switched spots mid-inning and when the ball was launched at her the SAME thing happened! She got NAILED in the knee and ended up with the stitch-marks... I SO jealous...
I downloaded pics of the games this morning, just got to get the out to Flickr. Keep an eye out for new ones!!

YAY!
She was telling me about the accident and I was SHOCKED she wasn't in worse shape. Sounds very scary. I'm glad to have her back tho.
Still LOTS to do and get caught up on.
Training all day today, so I'm writing you with lunch right in front of me.
Hope you all are having a GREAt day!!

The meeting, part 2
No pressure.
We also learned that more opportunities may arise in our department and HOPEFULLY that'll get me out of this unchallenging, boring, lame-ass internal help-desk position I've held for 3 years. However, I'm not sure how I'd adapt to a job that actually offered a challenge. I'd have to shift gears FAST.
Oh, well... One day at a time and ask me if I feel like this at the end of July. That's when the gates of IT hell will be opened unto me. :)

Meeting.
He's already rubbed me the wrong way a couple of times. Whe we were introduced by my manager, he shook my hand but turned to start a conversation with one of his workers from the west coast. Also, the other day, he basically ran right into me in the hallway and didn't say 'excuse me' or anything of the sort. Just glared and walked into the copy room.
He's not my favorite right now, but we'll see how he does this morning.

Smile!
I was walking in to work today and I found myself smiling often. Umm... HELLO?!?! It's Monday! I'm supposed to be grumpy and complaining how short the weekend was (it WAS short, but we just won't go there).
Here's what made me smile today:
- Thinking of Mikey and I sitting in the back of Jitters talking about the future, men, camping, trips and just connecting for a while.
- The black, standard poodle spotting me from across the shuffleboard court with the 'I WANT TO PLAY!!' eyes.
- The little girl and her mother walking into the YWCA and talking about how much fun she's going to be having.
- Being able to share a some common interests with my boyfriend (even tho hiking in Tibet may be a tough goal)
- I found a tent that actually had a separate smaller room for your pets to camp with you.
Anything make you smile today?

WTF is he doing?!?
Then he proceeds to grab another from his back and put some of the contents on his pits. I was a bit baffled by this, but then I realized it was scented oils. They smelled REALLY good.
So, before I put my headphones on, I asked him 'What are you using the smells so good?'
He looked at me with a 'deer-in-the-headlights-oh-my-god-someone-is-talking-to-me-in-the-gym' kind of look. Then, in a lisp that would rival Daffy Duck he said, 'I uthe oilth and lothion. Ith probably the lothion that smellth the most.' He quickly turned away, haphazardly threw on his clothes and exited the locker room in all about 30 seconds.
Apparently I scared him off. :)
I just shook my head, laughed and hit the weights to try and make myself a little bit leaner.

Heya Peeps!
Tough thing was I couldn't fall back to sleep. I finally dozed off around 5am, but I get up at 5:30am to get ready for work... ICK.
Oh well, I'll just be a mess at practice tonight. :)
Things in my life are good, just getting busy with works and on nice days I get to take the girls out into the park (although lounging in the front yard is just fine with them). Caught up with a good firned last night (marla) and the Friday's downtown is closing at the end of the month. She's a little worried about getting a job, but she's good. She'll get one!
Anyway, time for work so I will chat with ya later.

HOLY SHIT-BISCUITS BATMAN!
After panicking about not having enough players, we rounded up some friends and members from another MPLS team to enter the North Star Classic this past Memorial Day weekend.
The tournament started with a 2-game 'round-robin-ish' thingy to determine where you'd start in the brackets. We won one and lost the other. That put us smack dab in the middle of the division and up against the Saloonettes (from Mpls). We go to the feld and only two of their people had shown up. So, win by forfeiture. *shrug* Not pretty, but we'll take it!
Two more wins on Saturday and our sole reason for winning those was so we wouldn't have to play at 8am in the morning!!
We were back at the fields for our game against the Penetrators (from MPLS). They had stayed out late drinking and partying and I think we got a little too confident. Our bats didn't get a chance to push in enough runs to win the game. We lost 6-4.
Onto our 2nd/3rd place battle against the Sterlings (also from MPLS). Peter, the coach, is also a good friend of mine. They are probably one of our best competitors in our league and they usually SKOOL us. The Pups were on FIRE and DID NOT let them win. We ended up getting enough runs to invoke the 'run rule' in the 5th inning.
YAY!! Guaranteed 2nd place! I was in shock. I had no idea we'd be able to make it that far. All I could do is make sure our bench and our fans we louder than the competitors. The only people who could win this were us! We needed to do this!
Enter the Penetrators...
Yes, that's right. The drunk-ass bitches that beat us earlier Sunday were back again and undefeated. This meant that we'd have to try and beat them TWICE in order to claim the Championship.
In the first game, our bats were on FIRE!! We climbed to an early lead and they kept sending their line drives and pop-ups right into our gloves! It was VERY exciting! Our fans were going nuts!! We even split-up the Mavericks (who are a team our level that are VERY competitive in the league) and had a bunch of them cheering for us! A bunch of the Grizzlies cheered us on from the first game all the way to the Championship. THANKS GUYS!!
We had some issues in this game with the coach of the other team not telling us when he subbed people in and out. He also didn't have anyone keeping score and one inning gave himself an extra run that out score-keeper argued, but we let them have it in the end.
I think the Penetrators' partying got to them because they gave that game up with us scoring 10 more runs than them.
Now, the REAL Championship. The Penetrators were struggling. After being steam-rollered by us in the last game (and nursing hang-overs) the Penetrators were NO MATCH for the fury of the Minneapolis Bad Puppies!!
We won this last game AGAIN with the 'run rule' and made our day!!
This tournament meant a lot of Mickee (who played an OUTSTANDING 2nd base) and gave us all a very good sense of what it's like playing together and winning.
Thanks to everyone who played and all our fans!! THANK YOU!!
Now I need to get to the gym and stretch my legs... Stairs were giving me issues yesterday :)

Hello!
I'm SOOO happy!! We got one day of sun and now we've been plunged into wet sloppiness AGAIN! Minnesota weather sucks. Well... at least this summer so far.
We have a Tournament this weekend and I hope the weather is nice. I really don't care to play in the rain.
HEY! I added some more pics up into my little Flickr thingy. TAKE A LOOK!
(lemme know if you can't see 'em)

Results
Yoshi (me) and Princess Daisy (Carlos) took on Waluigi and Boo.
We were in some work-shop stage and it was a lot of fun! I was behind for most of the game, but soon climbed up to 5 stars (with a lucky trip in the teleporter)...
Then Boo got bitchy... The little fucker challenged me to a duel and kicked my ass!! He stole one of my stars and put me in 3rd place behind the Princess. The game ended with it being Boo, Princess, Yoshi and Waluigi. However, at the end of the game, Bonus stars are awarded for certain goals. I won 2 extra stars and Boo won one more...
That fucker beat me, but I BEAT PRINCESS CARLOS!!
And that's all that matters. I feel a re-match coming on next week...

OH!! IT'S ON!!

YAY!!
Before our game they were undefeated! WOOT!!
We played some GREAT softball on Sunday and I'm very proud of the team! We weren't quite together for the beginning of the Grizzlies game, but we sure held tight for the Mavericks!
Some of us even went to the AIDS walk afterward. I'm regretting it this morning as stairs are very useful for me today. I MUST have an elevator or escalator. If you see me attept stairs today and I go tumbling down... please come help me up! You can laugh the whole time because I will be too!

Switchin to Flickr
I thought 'Hello!' was eay to use, but I couldn't figure out how to post them all in one post vs. separate.
Oh well, this is a good one methinks!
You kids have a good weekend and I'm going to upload more pics from home into my Flickr thingy this weekend.

So, maybe I'm not the photographer I thought I was...
I had a wonderful time! We left on Friday and had a great drive down. Mikey and I chatted the whole way down about a ton of stuff. We stayed with Mike's roommate's family (THANK YOU JOHN!). Once we got to their house we had to quickly change and head to the Basilica of St. John. Now, I took some pics of it, but none of them turned out.
The whole weekend was loosely organized, but things fell into place. After the rehearsal, we headed down to the 801 Steak and Chop House for the rehearsal dinner. The food was FANTASTIC!! The drinks were free!! I could have cut my steak with a butter knife... mmmmmm...
After the dinner we just went back to John's and went to bed. On Saturday we had lunch with some friends of Mike's that are SUPER cool and hit 'Scheels' afterward. The afternoon consisted of a nap and then hurrying to get to the church on time. Funny thing is: we were supposed to be there at 3pm -- left John's house AT 3pm -- still beat all the other groomsmen there...
Teresa was beautiful; the bridesmaids looked GREAT; and Mikey is one HOT mutha in a tux!!
Reception was fun. Stuck my foot in my mouth once. Met a lot of FUN people and finally put faces to names. The dancing part of the night was short, but it was fun.
It was a bummer to have to leave all the friends, but I was worn out come 1AM.
We planned to eat brunch at the 'Machine Shed'. It's a buffet that's supposed to be AWESOME. Word of advice: Don't plan on eating there on Mother's Day. We both TOTALLY forgot it was Mother's Day and it was an hour wait for 2. No Thanks!
So, we started the trek home and Mikey took a nap when we got back. Well... he TRIED to take a nap, but Yuna REALLY wanted his attention. I held her off for a while so he could get some z's...
I played City of Heroes and gave the pups some lovin' every once in a while...
It was a good weekend, but a tiring one. I'd do it again in a minute.

I PROMISE!
Short version: I HAD A BLAST!!
Thursday, May 05, 2005
This weekend!
We're going to be staying at John's family's place and from how excited Mikey gets about it, we should have a good time. He's got everything planned out and I'm excited to get out of the city even if it's to the land of corn. This is our first trip out of town together and we'll see if we both come back alive!
:-)
A Special THANK YOU to Carlos for watching the crazies this weekend. By the way, the pups oficially turn 2 today!

Antarctica
I didn't realize the playing softball in the cold and snow would take so much out of me. I slept SOOOOO well last night and I didn't want to get up because I could probably use about 4 more hours of sleep.
Please, PLEASE can we have warmer weather back? Pweese?
:-)

Mikey's New Digs
IT IS FUCKING AWESOME!
The rooms are HUGE, a beautiful built-in in the dining room, the kitchen is fairly new and it's HUGE! What makes me sad is that they pay as much a month as Carlos and I do for a more updated and larger place. *sigh*
Anyway, I got to spend a couple hours with Mikey last night. Most of it was running around getting stuff for Niblets and stopping at Best Buy for a wireless network prot-thingy for Mike's computer.
I installed that last night and played a little City Of Heroes. It's a fun game but WAY different from my Final Fantasy XI... In CoH, I'm a 'Blaster.' I whip lightning around like no one's business and it makes Mikey jealous because I can fight people from a distance. :-)
Anyway, I got a minor Mikey fix last night. We're moving his TV tonight, so If I don't die carrying it up the stairs to their new place, I think I'll get some more Mikey-time tonight and that is good.

FUCK YOU Square-Enix!!
I first logged in at about 4:30pm. Then again over and over for an hour. Then twice an hour. Then once before I went bed @ 10:30pm. At that time, I was able to connect, but then the monthly update had to run and it took only 15 minutes.
They have 'officially' apologized for the inconvenience, but you know what? FUCK YOU!! Give me something... In game money; a cool item; a month free!!
Oh well... I should get over it because it's only a game. But the unfortunate thing is there is ALWAYS and issue after they release the update. Lately, it's usually you can't search to find other people or the Auctions House is all messed up. It'll be interesting to see what they messed up this time.

Ideas
I'd like to have the ability to show a 'preview' then when you click on the picture it takes you to the full version.
I'm on Blogger, so I don't have my own place to host the pictures from. Anyone know of a site that would let me de the preview thing?
An example of what I'm talking about it like Aaron's T-shirt Party post. Click on the pic and it goes to a bigger version.
Ideas?
Update
I also used my proceeds from woodworking to buy a friend a Dark Staff. A $230,000 Dark Staff. Yes, being a lumberjack IS profitable.

Yummy Coffee!
I exchanged the 1st one because it was the wrong color :-)
I exchanged the 2nd because it was a piece of SHIT!
I exchanged the 3rd one because it also was a piece of fecal matter... All of them were the Juan Valdez pod coffee makers... Guess he's too into his coffee or his donkey to worry about the maker.
I exchanged it for a Mr. Coffee Stainless Steel carafe GOD of coffee makers!! It was an even exchange and I'm SOOOOOO much happier with it. I just have to set it up at night and Carlos and I have yummy coffee in the morning!
So nice! SO SO nice!
Combine that with a bowl of grape nuts with a bit of sugar and it was quite possibly a perfect morning! Only thing missing was Mikey, but I get him on the weekends. :-)

What they're up to...
Once again this year, a homosexual indoctrination bill, aimed at our children, has been reintroduced. This bill, deceptively-titled, "Dignity for All Students Act", will require:
1) Christian public school teachers, administrators, and counselors toattend homosexual and transsexual (cross dressers - men who dress aswomen) sensitivity classes as a condition of employment.
2) Children in Kindergarden to attend for homosexual and transsexualtolerance classes.
3) It will ban Christian students from sharing their faith in Christ tohomosexual students.
For the past two years, Christian Family Coalition has been the only pro-family organization to successfully lead the effort to defeat this dangerous bill in Florida, however, this year our enemies are more organized than ever! Just last week, a House committee gave this bill a hearing, the first time in history this has ever happened!. And once again, Christian Family Coalition lobbied the members of the committee and our representatives testified at the hearing against this bill. In the end, we won by a 6-2 vote against the bill!
To Donate: (click or paste the link below into your browser)http://family-coalition.org/PAGES/NEWS_Pages/Donate.asp
However, the bill is still very much alive, and could come up at anytime in the Senate or as an amendment to another bill, which is exactly the strategy homosexual activists are pursuing to try to sneak this bill through. As you can tell, Christian Family Coalition is fighting tooth and nail to stop the powerful and well-funded homosexual agenda from reaching our children and that is why we desperately need your EMERGENCY CONTRIBUTION now! Homosexual activists raised $3,700 in just 3 days to try to pass this bill!. Now, we need to hear from you with your EMERGENCY CONTRIBUTION to raise at $3,700 to defeat this bill!. As we write this EMERGENCY APPEAL, homosexual lobbyists are working hard to try to pass this homosexual indoctrination bill aimed at our children. They have already succeeded in forcing homosexual indoctrination in our schools in at least eight (8) states across our nation! Please stop whatever you are doing right now, and make the most generous EMERGENCY DONATION you can, $100, $75, or even $50 will do! But we must hear from you to raise at least $3,700 to continue our lobbying efforts! Please, for the sake our children, make your EMERGENCY CONTRIBUTION of any amount, right now! Remember, we must raise at least $3,700 within the next several days, if we are to continue to put up a fight against the indoctrination of our children by the homosexual agenda. Time is running out, stop whatever you are doing, and make your most generous EMERGENCY CONTRIBUTION right now, $100, $75, $50 or even $35 will do! We have defeated the homosexual agenda before, and we can do it again, but not without your help, for the sake of our children and grandchildren, make your most generous EMERGENCY CONTRIBUTION right now! We are counting on you!

I forgot to tell you!!
I had sold off my other cameras when I was running low on cash. I've missed having one around so I can just randomly take pictures of the pups and softball and stuff. This is a cool-looking, small digital camera that will suit my needs PERFECTLY! I ordered a 1GB memory card for it too!
Thank you Mikey!! :-)
Back in the saddle again...
Then, Mikey and I hit Chino Latino for dinner. It was yummy, but I wasn't feeling quite right. After we got done I excused myself home and began being sick... I still am not feeling the greatest, but I couldn't justify spending another PTO day on this.

What did you do with YOUR sunshine?
On Friday night, I grilled out for the first time this year. It was SO much fun! Mikey, Carlos, John and I cooked up some chicken, steak and bratwursts on the grill as well as baked potatoes and veggies. It was a trial run and now I remember that charcoal takes a while to get going... We ate around 9pm. Oops!
Nevertheless, is was a good time. Saturday I worked and after that I want over to George's for a while. It was a nice evening and we saw one of the coolest things ever after the sunset: about 300 geese were flying over the city and their bellies were lit up by the city. It was a very cool effect! I wish I could have had a picture.
And then yesterday... *SWOON* What a PERFECT day! I didn't realize it until Carlos and I left for softball practice. I was in heaven! Soooooo warm!
Softball practice for the Bad Puppies was loosely organized (I preferred it that way) and I had everyone except for one show up. We're going to have a great team and I think we're going to have a FULL team this year. I get the feeling that almost everyone will be there EVERY Sunday! I'm super excited!!
Now I just need to plan for next weeks' practice! We have some very competent players and only 10 positions to fill. We'll see how this works out.
Enough about me... What did you with YOUR sunshine?

uh-oh!
This could be a VERY bad thing for me.
Keep your fingers crossed.

A Worthy Cause!
I think I can get Eschelon AND Target to match what I raise or at least donate.
I'm going to rephrase what I originally published. It came across too harsh and I feel badly about it...
Try some of these ideas if you're looking for ways to scrap up a donation: Give up pop for a day and give the $5 for an adult dog to stay alive one more day. Ration your smokes over a week and give the $20 so a kitty can get vaccinated. Stay in over the weekend (rent a movie instead of going out) and give the $40 so a stray has a nice warm place to live for a while.
I'm not asking for $100 pledges or even $50 pledges. Just give. Give $2 in nickels if that's what you got lying around. Shake out your couch and donate the change. Handwash your car instead of paying $9 for the super-duper express wash that's only valid with a 6 gallon minimum purchase!!
I, myself, am giving up my eating lunch out for a donation for the kitties. I'm saving up the monies reimbursed to me for the gym, for the puppies. I'm going to re-watch the movies I have instead of renting new ones.
If you can't swing a donation: How about walking with me? Heck, even if you CAN donate and still want to walk with me, let me know! We can figure out a place to meet and car-pool so we don't have to take up a bunch of parking at the walk lot.
I know most of you are probably thinking: Why is this gay man not trying to raise money for cancer, or AIDS, or leukemia? Because there are walks all over the country for those. This walk benefits the animals here in my area. It let's me walk into the shelter and see what the money raised is doing.
Go to their website and look at the reasons why the animals are surrendered... housesoiling, too much energy, too much work. There are a lot of animals that are put too sleep because they can't deal with the animal or it's too much work.
I want to do whatever I can to help those animals get adopted. Please do whatever you can to help too. Please?
E-mail me if you want more info.

4-wheelin', Shotguns and Marshmallow Peeps...
My nephews each have their own shotgun, my brother-in-laws have their collections and my father has the 'mother-load.' He only brought out two 20-gagues out, tho.
I started out manning the spring loaded thrower. Threw them out fairly consistantly; some high and a few low. The nephews needed practice just shooting tartets nomally. Then I grabbed my old 20-gauge and Dad took to the thrower. He was launching 2 at a time, some straight up into the air, and from behind a 'blind.' My Dad had a knack for making it challenging, but still fun.
It was a good time and we decimated a case of bio-degradable clay pigeons. My Dad and my brother-in-law both explained to me their plans to change the 2-acre field into a long-range rifle field. They're going to build-up a bank at about 200 yards and Dad just bought a 300-yard rifle. I asked it what he was going to use it for and he just laughed. It was a gift for himself. It didn't have a purpose. He did say he could use it for elk hunting or buffalo, but he has only gone on one elk hunting trip ever.
After our shooting spree, I hopped onto my sister's 4-wheeler and took Dylan back to the house to grab his 4-wheeler. We raced around the Smith Plantation for a while and Dyl tried his hardest to get me all muddy, but I'm just a little smarter than that. :-)
Yuna and Akima came along and played and played and played... they were wiped-out for the ride home. Yuna perked back up once we hit the carwash. She wasn't all that happy with the arm that sprayed the water and stuff on the Vue. She'd start up by me and whimper then as the arm moved around the car, she followed it barking and growling the entire way... it was cute!
Then, about 5 minutes after leaving the carwash, she and her sister were once again passed out... The were awake for 20 minutes when we got home and they crashed again...
I'd take them up there every weekend if I could. They LOVE being able to run run run...
I had hoped to see Mikey last night, but after his busy week I can understand him wanting just to hang out at home. We'll see each other tonight and that'll work for me.
I hope you all had a good weekend!

Sounds like both my sisters and their families are going to be there this year. Joseph is young enough to do the egg hunt and be fun to watch. The others just do it because they know there is a basket hidden full of fun toys and GOOD candy... (i still wish I got a basket)
My brother-in-law Terry and I get to hide the eggs and the baskets. We are PURELY EVIL when it comes to hiding the baskets for my older nephews. Last year, we hid Casey's about 20 feet off the ground in a tree, Travis' in an old stove my Dad had replaced in the house, and Dylan's was buried in a mound of straw... It was a HOOT!!
They also have to find all of the eggs before they get to hunt for their baskets. It's good fun for us to watch and the kids actually enjoy it. This will be the first Easter where Yuna and Akima will be out and about, so I just have to make sure they don't eat any of the eggs!
I hope you all have a GREAT weekend even if you don't celebrate Easter!! It's supposed to be BEAUTIFUL this weekend!

Former Partner
Now, his brother is a nice guy, but i'm not too certain he'd take care of something that wasn't his own. I'm a little worried that if I DO get it back it may be either tampered with or just in poor condition.
I'm going over to Adam's tomorrow night with Carlos and we're going to get my Grandfather's chair and some other mail (2 years old).
When we talked on the phone, things were civil until Adam wanted me to give him money or some sort of restitution for 'taking everything' with me. I found this somewhat offensive because when I told him I was moving out the first words out of his mouth were: 'I want the TV and the DVD player! I'm getting something out of this!' I left with the red dishes I loved, a quesadilla maker, my TV, about half of the movies, my surround sound system, the pups, and the art glass I had collected.
I left him with quite few things that just blended in with the house: 2 tv stands, a TV, dvd player, executive bookshelf system, microwave, stainless shelving system, kitchen prep counter and various tools and such. It was his house so I just wanted to leave with the few things i brought into it.
Granted, he was the primary holder of all furniture and such, but I left without even taking a bed. When the split happens, that's when you ask for concessions... not two years after.
I want my grill back, but if I don't get it i'm not going to freak. I'm just going to be disappointed because he said he'd hang onto it to help me out.
Funny thing is: During one of my moves I lost his pair of softball cleats. I have offered to give him some money to replace them and he didn't even say 'Thank you.'
Amicable separation? I guess not.
UPDATED: I have turned off comments for this post. Adam, go post your story elsewhere. You need to move on and leave me to my life. You may have your opinion/perspective and I'll respect it, but you can post it on your site, not mine.
GOOD MORNING!!
How are you folks doing today? I'm going GREAT! I had a good night's sleep (with the exception of my dream where I was a Ninja with two BAD-ASS swords tyring to kill off all the killer crabs that had invaded the beach) and I hope you did too!
I don't have much to say except my former partner called and hopefuly this week I'll be able to get my grill and my Grandfather's chair back from him. He also asked abuot his softball stuff and I have NO idea where that is.
Anyone out there got a pickup truck? I need to make this a one-trip visit.
Later Gators!

Inspection
Ok, well.. actually, our apartment is, but I have to be there because Yuna and Akima will go BALLISTIC without me there.
They're checking to see if everything is up to 'Code' or not... Maybe if I show them a few things they'll make a suggetion to the landlord! :-)
We SERIOUSLY need a new fridge. things in the freezer are quickly comsumed by frost and ice cream gets mushy and wierd flavors start happening...
Anyway, this all goes down on Wednesday morning so I get to work from home for a bit.
Tonight and tomorrow night are going to be used for cleaning. It's mostly just running the vaccuum, but cleaning up around the leaky fridge should prolly happen too.

Moving on...
I'm going to start on the DragonLance Trilogy called 'The War of Souls.' This is a whole different cast of characters and actually tells the story of Huma. Time-frame wise, it happens before the stories I had read before and just finished.
It'll be good, I'm sure!

Icky
I went to bed with a sniffle and a little congestion and woke up wit a full-blown cold. I feel like one of my eyes is going to shoot out of my head and splatter onto my monitor. I got one of thise Vicks Inhalant sticks so I'm pretending to sniff markers. It seems to be helping.
I also got some tylenol cold to hopefully relive some of the symptoms.
If I feel like this tomorrow I think i'm going to be staying home.

I'm not buying...
I usually mind my own business on the workout floor. I'm trying a new workout in order to incorporate more cardio into the routine. I head over to the new cable cross-over machine and begin my chest workout.
Three machines over there is a regular (who always seems to spend more time in the locker room than the workout room) lifting on the chest machine. I catch him looking at me a few times during my workout, but I just go on with my business.
I decide I'm done buffing up for the day and head down to the locker room. I give a quick glance around and it's pretty empty. Good thing! I strip down, grab my towel and hop in the empty steam room quick. I love sitting in the steam. It makes my lungs feel good and gives them a temporary vacation from the sniffles.
I'm spraying down the steam vents (it's kind of an old system) and getting the room all nice and hot when what's-his-face walks in butt naked. Now he's not completely out of shape carrying the love handles like most of us have. He's probably late 40's or early 50's, balding and has a very weathered face.
I finish getting the room full of steam and find a place away from this other guy. I usually sit on the third level because it's warmer up there and this guy was down on the first. I didn't think anything of it, but I usually close my eyes, lean back on the wall and relax. I was sitting there for about 5 minutes and I open my eyes and this guy is 'rubbing one out.'
I was caught off-guard by his courage to do that in a public place, but was even more startled when he glanced up at me and gave me this stupid little grin. LIKE I'D BE INTERESTED OR FLATTERED!!!
I'm sure a lovely look of disgust had made it's way to my face, and I got up and headed toward the door. This guy kept going.
As I reached the door I turned to him and said, 'You better sell that shit somewhere else, because I'm not buying what you're selling!' I stormed out of the steam room and into the showers.
That man didn't leave the steam room the entire time I was getting ready to go.
He's there every morning. We'll see how he reacts to my presence on Wednesday morning. :-)

Did I have a weekend?
I worked on Saturday and then went shopping with Carlos. We hit IKEA (NEVER again will I go on a Saturday) and then headed over to the mall for DSW and 'The Rack.' I succeeded in finding an inexpensive pair of black shoes for work (I LOVE the sales at Nordstom's Rack).
On Sunday I cleaned up my room a bit, played my game for a while, then went to see Mikey at Marshall Fields (his pt-job). He was SOOOOO cute looking all concentrating and stuff... We came right before his lunch break, so we got to sit down and hang for a while. On this trip I found 2 pair of jeans that I needed badly.
I needed new jeans because I think 2 of the 3 pair I have date back to college and the other pair are a good 3-4 years old. Arizona jeans from JC Penney (stop laughing) aren't all that bad. They make my ass look pretty damn good!
After work, Mikey came over and we headed to Uptown for dinner (my treat) and book shopping. We hit the used bookstores and found the mother-load!! He found the first books from 'The Sword of Shanara' series that he'd like me to read and I found the next trilogy of my DragonLance books I want to read. I bought more books because I'm on book 3 of DragonLance Legends and that should get me through to the end of the week.
So, there you have it. My boring life.

New Music!
I need some new tunes. Any suggestions?
I like Dance, re-mixes, some R&B, some Rap, very little country, and I try to stay away from screaming and random instrument breakage.
Is that enough to go off of? By the way, the Dance music has to have words otherwise I just view it as noise.
So, give me some suggestions, make me a mix cd, give me a good place to go to download... cool?

Apologies
I had a good weekend. Work was good (read: it went by fast), but they had just waxed the floors and the store STUNK!! It made me VERY sick to my stomach and led me into this cold. I had to cancel on Sahara for dinner that night because I was so icky. When I came home I slept for 2 1/2 hours then went to bed at 10pm and didn't wakeup until 8:30am or so. Guess I needed to rest, huh?
On Sunday I washed some dishes, played my game (got my Warp spell which is a HUGE time-saver), did some laundry and waited for Mikey to get back from Iowa. He came over and we hung out for a while. I miss getting to spend SO MUCH time with him. Because of the surgery and the bandage changing, it's been limiting the time we get to spend together. He's also one of the newest Marshall Fields employees and will be working about 12 hours a week there. It'll reduce some of our time spent together, but t's going to give him some extra cash to pay stuff down. It's a good thing!!
The girls are good! Yuna LOVES her new kennel cushion that Mikey bought her. Last night after beating on her sister for a while she went and laid in her kennel. She was in heaven! Akima, on the other hand, wasn't so appreciative. The first day she ripped 3 corners of her cushion off and I came home to foam EVERYWHERE!! So, I tossed it out and I put one of their pillows (sleeping pillows that they've had since day 1 with me) in her kennel. It's been a few days and Akima seems to be OK with it! Hopefully these cushions will help with their hairloss.
Other than that, life is good. Still looking for a new job. I'd sure like to be challenged.
Adios Amigos!

CM is WAAAAAY too nice!
He mentioned that we should get the cushions for the bottom of the kennels so Yuna and Akima wouldn't lose so much hair. I agreed and we headed out.
We grabbed dinner at Fridays and then went to the Petsmart in Fridley.
They were having puppy class last night and we met MANY cuties. There was a yellow lab, a golden retriever, a phantom poodle, and a rat terrier. They were all less than 6 months old. SUPER CUTE!!
We also got to see two HUGE Great Danes!! They're in there often because I've met them before... (that's also the Banfield Vet that I take the girls to)
Now, I had expalined to Mike that I didn't have the money to get the cushions and he said he'd get them for them! That's pretty damn sweet! (he's going to get paid back)
So, we got 2 kennel cushions, 2 Nylabone toys (to hopefully keep them from tearing up the cushions), 2 walking harnesses (one red, one blue), catnip for psycho kitty, catnip mousies, krinkle balls, and some other toys for Ms. Niblets...
It was a productive trip and I can't thank CM enough for helping out! A big THANK YOU to Carlos too! He has offered to feed the pups on Tuesday and Thursday nights when I work late. Without him we wouldn't have been able to get as much done as we did last night. It's nice to have people in my life who enjoy the pups and are willing to help me out!
