Relief
*sigh*
I'm SO not looking forward to walking to the car... It's on the other side of Loring Park and I'm downtown. It's raining. Yuck.
I will probably be looking for some coffee tomorrow so if any of you kids want to meet for coffee e-mail me.
Peace!
Halloween Prep, 2nd Edition
Tonight is reserved for making the food for the party. Handmade dips, tasty tortilla roll-ups, and maybe some homemade bread for dipping... I was going to get all fancy, but I gotta work on Saturday and I won't have much time to prepare for the party.
We're also serving a Witches Brew. Going to start with a fruity punch and each set of guests is supposed to bring a bottle of booze to spike it with. :-)~
Mmmmmmmm....
I. Can't. Wait.
Ickiness
They're sick, again. I'm hoping they are better today. If not, it's back to the vet to find out what manner of microbiological beastie is in their systems now...
Ugh... sometimes being a Dad is gross...

Halloween Prep
I was thinking construction worker, but I don't have the toolbelt to look TRULY authentic. Carlos said I should be Malifacent from Sleeping Beauty. I said that I'm 6'1" now and adding another half foot could be disastrous. All of the costumes at Target suck...
We're going to Fleet Farm to complete CM's 'white trash' outfit, so maybe something there will inspire me. Maybe a deer hunter? Blaze orange is all-the-rage!! :-)
If you have any inexpensive ideas, lemme know.
VOTE!! ----------------------------->
(BTW, i only get 100 views a day on that poller so try not to look at it TOO often)

Jealousy
It's good to a point. Jealousy can give you focus and direction. It can help you find a new job and better yourself personally. However, I seem to have stumbled over it once again.
I logged onto Friendster (use mnsmitty@hotmail.com to add me!) last night and saw that I had one message. When I clicked the link, it brought up the message center and the first message was a reply from John (a hunky law student who came to visit for LavLaw; whom I had sent a message to saying 'Nice to meet you'). I clicked on it and read it. Once I realized it was CM's message center I should have closed out of it, but I continued to read...
When they were all up here for the weekend, CM hung out with them and then invited me out with the later in the evening. We all danced and had a GREAT time.
As I read the message, CM apologized for 'Coming on too strong'. I immediately thought the worst, but instead of worrying about it I called CM. I apologized for reading his message (he said he probably would have done the same thing), and asked if he could explain what he meant by that.
He said the he had been flirting with John and just wanted to apologize in case John was offended. Both John and CM are in relationships and CM thought John may have thought it was inappropriate.
That was thoughtful of him. I'm glad I have a thoughtful boyfriend. :-)
I trust CM. I just need to curb my jealousy, let myself go and flirt a little bit more. Flirting can be for fun, not just for 'sport'. It's an insecurity that's developed from my previous relationships (with a boost from Society's 'The grass is always greener' mentality), but why should it have an effect on this one? It's MY choice. MY attitude.
I'm growing. I'm learning. I'm loving.
*PEACE*

Mindset: Laziness
And THEN, CM is going down to his parent's house for a surprise gathering for his Mom's b-day. So... That means an entire weekend without falling asleep next to my boyfriend. It's been 5 nights already... remember, I'm selfish that way...
{cue pity party music}
Therefore, I need to keep busy (or at least preoccupied) until Sunday afternoon when he comes back. I have my online game that could keep me busy the ENTIRE time, but I also have a Halloween shin-dig to get ready for. Maybe on Saturday night I'll go shopping for a costume. Maybe movies on Sunday. *shrugs* Dunno yet...

My apolgies...
Last night CM took me out to Red Lobster (white trash seafood is SOOOOO good) and while we were chatting he asked me 'Do you like your life?'
That question REALLY got me thinking. I do like my life, but there are some parts of it that I wish I could just get rid of.
The parts I like are having my pups. They are pure joy and the bane of my existance all in one day. Getting up early to walk them is a pain in the ass, but when they fall asleep on or next to me, I melt. I like where I'm living. I have a great roomie and I get to have my pups. It's in a good area and it's easy to get where ever I need to go. I love my family and they're very supportive, as well as my friends. CM is probably one of the most positive things that has happened to me in a long time. He's helping me (even tho I don't think he realizes it) to open up and talk about how I feel. He makes me feel important, trusted and loved. Thanks Mikey!
The parts I wish I could change or need to change are: My job... I've been here 5 years in November and I'm seriously starting to get sick of it. I'd like something where I'm challenged, get paid more, where the word 'Thanks' is used more often... I also need to lose the 2nd job. I'd like to have a weekend back.
My financial state. I'd sure like it to get better. I wish I could go back and change some of the STOOOOOPID decisions I made that got me in over my head. I could REALLY use someone to show me how to budget, manage my money, and get the HELL out of debt.
My stress level. Sometimes I feel so entirely consumed with stressed. A lot has to do with money, some comes from developing the relationship with CM, and the rest comes from work. All things I can try to change/compromise/learn.
Dont know why this is being typed, but I'm feeling a bit more clear-headed after getting all the crap out. Thanks for reading!

Methinks t'would be time for a new gym...
Now... when he turned on his shower I turned mine off and quickly left. As I was toweling off outside the shower room, I coul d hear him moaning like he was receiving THE BEST oral sex he'd ever had...
Now... I realize that when you get older you become a bit more 'free' with your behaviors, but Ewww... EWWWWWW...
Yucky... I'm glad I wear flip-flops in the shower....

Dumpage...
I was talking about a female character who used staves to fight. I told him I thought it was Storm from the X-men (during one of her phases).
'STORM DOESN'T FIGHT WITH STICKS!'
He got up, didn't finish his coffee and I never heard from him again.
What's the dumbest reason you've been given for not having another date? Or for being dumped?
P.S. Turns out I was thinking of Cheetara from the Thundercats.
Christian Family Coalition
Dear Cherished Friend of the Coalition,
Do you realize that we are less than thirty (30) days from the 2004 U.S. Presidential elections and over thirty (30) hate groups (anti-family, anti-life) have united to raise more than $500,000, for a massive get-out-the-vote effort in the upcoming elections!
They realize how important this election is, here is just a sample of their latest ad:
The year is 2010. As predicted, the homosexuals have taken over.
Old Glory’s gone pink. Hedonism reigns. The future has been decided. Welcome to the United States of GayAmerica!
I don’t know about you, but this makes my blood boil!
This is the most critical election of our lifetime, here’s what’s at stake: The definition
of marriage as one man, one woman. Protection of unborn children, Religious
freedom, and so much more!Anti-family and anti-life forces are raising $500,000, to turn out 350,000 anti-family voters!
Won’t you help us match and surpass their efforts!
In order to match our political opponents, we must raise at least $500,000 over the next thirty (30) days! Your financial support and your vote has never been more important to our nation, our community and our future.
Please sit down right now, and make the most generous donation you can. Don’t wait for someone else to write a check, you take the first step right now, STOP whatever
you are doing and make a contribution.Your generous contribution will register new voters, help us get unlikely voters to cast a ballot, provide information about candidates and their stance on our issues.
Sincerely,
Anthony Verdugo
Executive Director, Christian Family Coalition
So, Apparently gay marriage overshadows all other issues out there. AND, that whole 'United States of Gaymerica' thing was just a manifestation of what the most conservative people would see if Gay Marriage was allowed. Too convienent that he left it out and didn't even reference the REAL ad so that people can think for themselves. (If anyone remembers the link to the ad, let me know)
I'd sure like to know what this dude gets paid a year... my guess is the money raised doesn't get very far in the system. That's TOTAL speculation on my part however.
Anyway... just thought I'd share the fact that we are a 'hate group' in case you didn't already know that.

Kinda Bummed
I don't blame him though. I sure wouldn't want to be woke up at 5:30AM every morning by my boyfriend having to take his dogs for a walk. Espcailly since he doesn't have to be to work until 9AM.
I just miss him. Sure, I get to see him after work, have dinner with him, talk with him, watch TV or a movie with him... but I don't get to sleep next to him. That just bumms me out. I'm selfish that way.

On the 4th day...
They know they have to sit before we cross the street. They know how to get home from the park. They know not to cross outside the territory I've set for them at the park. They know what 'inside' means.
We're still working on not chasing the squirrels... my shoulders sure would benefit from it! :-)
I'm DEAD tired from getting up early and walking the pups, but they are SO worth it.

"If I catch you, you're mine."
The next day there's a knock at his door, and when he answers, there stands before him a voluptuous, athletic, 19-year-old young lady dressed in nothing but air and some Nike running shoes with a sign around her neck. She introduces herself as a representative of the weight loss company. The sign reads, "If you can catch me, you can have me!" Without a second thought he takes off after her. A few miles later, huffing and puffing, he finally catches her and has his way with her. After they are through and she leaves, he thinks to himself, "I like the way this company does business!" The same girl shows up for the next two days and the same thing happens. On the fourth day, he weighs himself and is delighted to find he has lost 10 lbs. as promised. He calls the company and orders their 5-day/20 pound program.
The next day there's a knock at the door and there stands the most stunning, beautiful, sexy woman he has ever seen in his life, wearing nothing but Reebok running shoes and a sign around her neck that reads, "If you catch me, you can have me." He's out the door after her like a shot. This girl is in excellent shape and it takes him a while to catch her, but when he does, it is worth every cramp and wheeze. For the next four days, the same routine happens. Much to his delight, on the fifth day, he weighs himself and found he has lost another 20 lbs, as promised. He decides to go for broke and calls the company to order the 7-day 50 pound program.
"Are you sure?" asks the representative on the phone. "This is our most rigorous program."
"Absolutely," he replies, "I haven't felt this good in years!"
The next day there's a knock at the door and when he opens it he finds a muscular guy standing there wearing nothing but pink running shoes and a sign around his neck that reads, "If I catch you, you're mine."

Laughing and Playing
It was still dark when I parked the car, but when I crossed the street and entered Loring Park: dawn began to break...
The air was cool and still. Various sounds floated through the air as I walked around the pond.
The geese were lounging around and telling jokes. It must have been a funny one, because all of them burst into laughter at the same time... The only thing that crossed my mind was "AFLAC!" I chuckled quietly to myself and continued around the pond.
I came across the bunnies and sparrows playing a game similar to hide and go seek... The bunnies would scurry to new places to hide and the sparrows would fly right to them as if they were peeking while counting to ten. I imagined the sound of kids giggling and laughing outloud while running around the park...
A happy-go-lucky beagle was trotting through the park with his master taking in all the scents and sounds. Tail a-wagging, he greeted me panting and happy as ever. We connected for that moment; sharing the joy of each other's presence. Then it was time to go and continue on my way to work.
It was as if the wildlife was celebrating the break from the cold and I feel very lucky to have shared in that celebration.

No Theme...
Dunner keeps us informed on the political front; Mighty shares the good pop-culture stuff; Wanda's got a hold on the drag queen scene; Aaron word-smith's like a muthah; Pisser cracks-me-the-fuck-up; Go Fug Yourself is pure enjoyment; and many, MANY more could be mentioned...
What's my purpose for doing this? I have NO idea... It let's me get the shit out of my head, but sometimes it's just so fucking boring. I have voice in my head, but they all have the personalities of computer geeks. Hmmm... I need to find a focus.
Aiight... I saw this on the Blogger site: What 3 things would you like me to post pictures of? Anything you'd like to see about me, my life, my home, etc... Keep it clean tho. No 'adult' pics will be posted.
Cheers!

Happy Monday!
ANYWAY, How's everyone doing this CRISP Monday morning? I actually had a VERY productive weekend. Got the kitchen all set-up and cleaned, did a TON of laundry, and leveled up my Final Fantasy XI character (his name is Mykal and he's HOT!!) a BUNCH of levels (from 17 to 25!). I hope to get the rest of the house set-up sometime this week because the pups are coming home on Friday!!
WOO HOO!!
CM had a wedding to go to Saturday and Sunday, so I had plenty of time to get stuff done. I also hung out with him and some of his law friends on Friday night. We danced and danced and danced. It was a BLAST!
Also, today is CM's first day at work downtown!! It'll be interesting to see what his schedule turns out to be. Would be nice to be able to take some lunches together!
Ok... Back to the grind...
